Aunt Momo and Tot's first photoshoot together

For Aunt Momo's birthday, I decided that she and totsy needed some good photos of the two of them. Even though the day was hot and humid and Campbell was not altogether patient, the pictures turned out so well. I just love them!

Ernie's surprise 30th birthday

It is apparent that the Gwin family loves surprise parties! We were honored to help Ernie Dye celebrate his 30th at the Brookhaven. Sorry Tot; this party was Butterbean-free.

4th of July extravaganza

Even though Totsy could only be there for Sunday night and Monday, she had a blast rocking her patriotic bathing suit. She and Uncle John also discovered that they both love Crocs. Tot also met a new friend, "Em" otherwise known as "Emma Dye". Campbell was a big help teaching Em the proper "open wide" technique as seen below. Overall, a great time with friends as family!

Father's Day 2010

John and Melissa had us all over for a Father's day cookout. Tot experienced her first hammock, baby swimming pool, and frisbee toss. She also helped her grandad open some gifts. Aunt Julie was on hand to love on the tot! Although Tot way preferred loving on Mike's son, Brandon.

Davis BBQ

Our Davis family invited us all to a cookout the Thursday before 4th of July weekend. It was a great time with family and my friend Mike and his son Brandon. I learned that I could still throw a football in the backyard like a champ...and in heels!

A day a the pool

I thought I would be anti-baby bikini, but totsy proved to me that she can handle it...especially when paired with some stylin' rainboots! We had a great family planning summit for our 4th of July festivities. MCC specials included. Plus Tot didn't get sunburned at all, so victory for me!

4th of July festivities

Tot's mom is looking forward to our 4th of July extravaganza happening this weekend at Horseshoe Lake. I little family time, friends, new and old, some tot-free time and finishing up the weekend with tot-in-tow. All in all it should be fun and eventful to say the least. Lake, sun, cold drinks, good food, and a little flip cup...maybe some karaoke. In the words of my dad...

Green with envy

If I could paint my concrete floors this color, I would. I love the fresh look. I'm also an insane fan of green in general.

Tot's new toy

This morning I ordered what I hope will a nearly indestructible camera for our summer adventures! This thing is supposed to waterproof, sand-proof, boston-terrier-proof, and possibly tot-proof. Anything that captures all the madness that tot and I get into this summer I consider a must-have!

Neat-os for a Tuesday afternoon

Weekend

Totsy and I definitely won this weekend. No one got sun burned, dehydrated, run over by a trolley, hit by a fly ball, or too intoxicated (that would refer to me). Some highlights...tot drives the pontoon boat, takes in a baseball game, learns a few new words, and takes some serious car seat naps. Highlight for mommie...the precious Old Navy bathing suit fit. I so appreciate cute kids clothes that don't cost a fortune. Tot will most certainly be sporting this little number at the beach next month, oil or no oil.

Day 1

"Here we go!" That was pretty much my mentality the day I kicked my now ex-husband out of my house. And from that day on, it's been me, Totsy, Albert and AnnieBell (my two Boston Terriers). I'm nearing the one-year single mark, and all I can say is wow what a year it has been. Maybe one of the best. I've met some awesome new people, of course along with some terrible ones. Managed to get into a little trouble of my own. Had some first. Some lasts. And I'm still standing.
